I’m so glad I found your work. I’m amazed by your embroidery and how it allows me to engage more deeply with polyvagal theory—to follow the threads and feel how the nerves and their signals move through the body. I can imagine the way stitching them connects you to the bodily experience of the vagus nerve.

Thank you! Part of my embroidery practice is to understand and appreciate my physiology more and I’m so glad to hear that comes through in the work!

Wow am I glad I found you on notes! I am currently researching the vagus nerve and cortisol changes throughout the menstrual cycle.

I would love to DM you sometime soon if that's alright with you!

I love what you are doing here!

The finished piece is next level! And I’d never heard about the nerve theory, but going to read more and try some of those calming techniques 💕

This is beautiful! Thanks for sharing your process and also the info on vegal theory. I’ve dabbled with some veggie nerve exercises for my ME/CFS and you’ve encouraged me to continue down that path.

Thank you! It’s been really helpful for me and I feel like the continued work with the exercises and imagery is cumulative, though slow.

Love your embroidery and what a really interesting piece about polyvagal theory, thanks I will look up your suggested reading/listening. I've previously done a lot of breath work but didn't know the eye exercise
